Why SEO and Metadata Contained in Your Online Images is so Important for You to Grow Your Dental Brand and Reach Your Potential Audience

As a growing business in the dental industry, enhancing and improving your brand image online is so important these days, but can prove to be a frustrating exercise.  Every growing dental business needs to have a strong presence online, even to be found in your local community.  So what are some of the ways you can do that without having to spend a fortune on expensive advertising campaigns and marketing consultants?


One of the best ways to get noticed online is to work on your SEO (search engine optimisation) and make sure you have good metadata in all your images, as well as adding links to other articles - like this one ;).  (Google loves it when you show you are linking to other valuable information and sites). 


For some of us, words like SEO and metadata can be a bit confusing.  If you have some Millennials or Gen Z’s in your workforce, it’s likely they’ll be able to help you understand these terms and might even be able to assist you with your online presence and marketing. If you don’t though, you can rest-assured that Dental Stock Photos use comprehensive tags and data in all of their images, so if you use our images online, you don’t have to worry if you are getting through to the people who are looking for you. 


In basic terms, metadata is the description detailed in an image that is used to tell Google and other search engines what the image is about. A fairly large percentage of images online don’t have any metadata and definitely won’t help you get found, so it’s important you bear this in mind with everything you do online.  It could put you ahead of your competitors if your potential customers are looking for a dental clinic, or local dental industry business, and there are metadata descriptions on your page, blog or article that include dental references. Your page could rank higher than your competitors if their SEO or metadata is not as comprehensive and descriptive as yours.
